Illuminating the spaces between participation and design
June 26-27, 2019
Glasgow | Edinburgh
An invitation to take part in cross-sector, interdisciplinary conversations on participation, inspired by the International Design in Government Summer Conference, Edinburgh.
Fringe by Design is a place for people from across communities, organisations and sectors come together online and in person to share, ask questions and work together on integrating participation and design based approaches to making change.
This is an experiment in using appreciative and asset based ways of working to bring people together from across communities, sectors and ways of working. If the Fringe ignites your imagination, curiosity and more questions, we want to meet you.
There are three ways to take part:
Join us online from June 2019. Share your stories, discoveries, resources and shout-outs to people doing great things in between design and participation using #fringebydesign and linking with @fringebydesign
Join us in person at events in Glasgow on 26 June, hosted by the ALLIANCE, and Edinburgh on 27 June hosted by OneTeamGov and UKGovCamp. These events are free and an open invitation to network, share practice, get inspired, learn and do work together.
Got something bigger you want to share or experiment with? Why not host your own free event or session? Tweet your invitation with #fringebydesign @fringebydesign or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll help you get the word out.
